What Is the Process of Installing Granite Countertops?
Once you’ve decided to have granite countertops installed in your home, you may be wondering what the process looks like and how long it will take.
The first step is to decide on what granite you want. With more than 500 natural granite options, you’ll be spoiled for choice!
Then, we will schedule a visit to your home to template the piece. This involves making a pattern for your granite piece using either cardboard materials or our laser templating system.
During this process, we discuss and approve everything with you including seam location, overhangs, and radius corners. You always get final approval.
After templating, we order your unique piece of granite and then make it to fit your home’s template. During this time period, we encourage you to come to our showroom by appointment to approve and view the slabs of granite that will be used for your project.
Once your piece is completed, we will schedule a day for installation in four-hour time slots. When your piece is installed, it’s sealed and ready for use!
The entire process can take several weeks due to shipping, design, and development, so we encourage you to start the process early if you have any big home events coming up.
