What Is the Process of Installing Granite Countertops?
Once you’ve decided that you want granite countertops in your home, how long does it take and what is the process like?
The first step is to choose what granite you want. With over 500 color combinations, this task is more difficult than you might think.
Once you have your granite selected, we schedule a visit to your home to template the piece. This process involves using either cardboard materials or our laser templating system to create a pattern for your piece.
During this time, we discuss and approve everything with you including seam location, overhangs, and radius corners. You always get final approval.
After templating is done, you have some wait time. We order your piece of granite and then fit it to the template we created. During this phase, we encourage you to come to our showroom by appointment to approve and view the slabs of granite that will be used for your project.
Once your piece is completed, we schedule a day with you for installation. We work in four-hour time blocks for your convenience. When your piece is installed, we seal it and then it’s ready for use!
The entire process can take several weeks due to shipping, design, and development so we encourage you to plan ahead for this process.
